Postcard from soporific from Belarus
Description: Rabbits
Postcard from Hellen2 from Estonia
Description: Lake Kumakese
Postcard from Yanchikke from Russia
Description: Vera Sibirtseva "Hurrying with Greetings" (batik)
This postcard is also from Yanchikke. It's not an official card, but she saw that I liked a few Northern Lights cards and sent it to me as well.
it started as random ramblings (that I'm still blaming on Heddy) about life, guiding, Pax Lodge, knitting, postcards and whatever else spewed forth from my keyboard...it hasn't changed too much, except now J is part of our life. And well, I write a lot about her and not as much (as I used to) about those other things

Team Hardcore does Penticton...again
Kelsey completed her third Ironman today. You can find all her results here. I still think she's a bit nuts, but wow, what a thing to accomplish! We weren't there this year, but we followed along from early this morning on the Ironman site.
Congratulations Kelsey!

Taiwan - Lukang Tienho Temple
Postcard from ?? from Taiwan
This *sad little card arrived in our mailbox today and because it took more than 365 days to arrive, I can't register it. And because I can't register it, I don't know who it's from. But thanks!!
Description: Lukang Tienho Temple It was built in the first year of the reign of the Emperor Yungli of the Ming Dynasty. The statue dedicated in this temple is the only one which was brought from the Meichou temple of Fukien in 1683. There are many precious historical data and religious articles displayed in this temple.

Finnish Princess, Dutch cyclists, and Macedonian views
Postcard from Sillisi from Finland
You can't actually see them in the picture, but the musical notes, bows, and hearts have sparkles on them. Guess what J likes best about this card!
Postcard from Springveld from the Netherlands.
Description: image from Dick Bruna. He has a great website.
Postcard from anagahan from Macedonia.
J and I both think this is somewhere we should visit - look at the colour of the ocean. J thinks it looks much warmer than swimming in English Bay!

Multi-coloured water
For the next little while I'm temporarily doing some work in a department that isn't my own. The project I'm currently working on has been giving me a rather high dose of stress.
Luckily the corner I'm sitting in has a little door onto a little balcony.
From the little balcony there are views like this
And this
And when it all becomes too much, it's nice to know that I can walk out that door, take afar deep breathes of air, stare at the view and the stress will momentarily go away. It's also a great place to sit and read and eat lunch and great place to go to think when the office buzz gets too loud to concentrate.
