Not only did J receive this cute Hallowe’en card, she also got a book recommendation, some stickers and cute little pumpkin with a ghostie inside. Now she wants to learn to make tissue ghosts (and I say yay! because it’s an easy craft that I can figure out!)

Postcard from k3rryk from Australia

Description: Mighty roadtrains hauling livestock or merchandise of every description are a common sight along the outback highways of Northern Territory, Queensland, South and Western Australia. These huge giants of the road measure 50 metres in length , weigh 115 tonnes and can have up to 60 wheels. They travel at a top speed of 85 kilometres an hour, however the very latest in modern technology and high tech braking and tracking systems make them the most energy efficient and cost effective mode of road transport in Australia.

We also mailed a big stack of cards this week, so our mailbox will hopefully be full regularly for the next little while!

A German girl, some Taiwanese chickens and a Dutch girl

de-1533710
Postcard from sweetmalibu from Germany

tw-631428
Postcard from PCby from Taiwan

This card is a special 3D card - there are lines on the back of the card that you cut with a knife and the chickens and various other things stand out. I haven't done it yet...I'm not sure if I'm going to because then it would be difficult to read the message.

Taiwan - Lukang Tienho Temple

tw-296506
Postcard from ?? from Taiwan

This *sad little card arrived in our mailbox today and because it took more than 365 days to arrive, I can't register it. And because I can't register it, I don't know who it's from. But thanks!!

Description: Lukang Tienho Temple It was built in the first year of the reign of the Emperor Yungli of the Ming Dynasty. The statue dedicated in this temple is the only one which was brought from the Meichou temple of Fukien in 1683. There are many precious historical data and religious articles displayed in this temple.

*Sad because I don't know who it's from...

Postcard from rostti from the USA

Description: This card is also handmade – check out some of the old (and not so old) stamps. We had a great time looking at this card – there are three Canadian stamps of varying vintage. One is quite new ( you can tell because it’s got a P for perpetual stamp), but I’ve never seen it before. I love this card, it’s pretty awesome. I think the 5¢ Canada stamp, might be a Christmas stamp – I think the bottom half of it is in the upper left corner. J recognized the top of Moomin’s head in the bottom right corner!

And this one came with a Scouting stamp…so cool! My mailbox was super happy today!
