it started as random ramblings (that I'm still blaming on Heddy) about life, guiding, Pax Lodge, knitting, postcards and whatever else spewed forth from my keyboard...it hasn't changed too much, except now J is part of our life. And well, I write a lot about her and not as much (as I used to) about those other things

I thought I’d get these up on Hallowe’en, but after trick or treating all of the girls at this house fell into bed and crashed!
The night before Hallowe’en, J’s Sparks group had an amazing party at one of her Guider’s homes. It was lots of fun and J went as Snow White. She loved her costume!
J’s costume needed a bit of repair after the party the night before so she was a butterfly for school on Hallowe’en (check out the Snow White bow…and she did have wings, they’re just not in the picture)
Dark could not come fast enough for J. And C actually let us put a little bit of bear makeup on her face. We took C in the carrier, so most of the makeup ended up on my shirt within about three minutes.
And here is Snow White, ready to trick or treat! It was a pretty exciting night…not only was it Hallowe’en, but Alex had the night off to come trick or treating with us.
We went trick or treating in an area down on the sea wall. It was great – it’s pretty much car-free and it’s a very friendly neighbourhood. We saw a few of J’s classmates and there were some amazing pumpkins.
When we got home, J and her dad sorted the candy…tons of loot…it was a good Hallowe’en!

Not only did J receive this cute Hallowe’en card, she also got a book recommendation, some stickers and cute little pumpkin with a ghostie inside. Now she wants to learn to make tissue ghosts (and I say yay! because it’s an easy craft that I can figure out!)
