Recap of 2009

Okay, so I did this last year and in 2007 too and tried to do 2008 without looking at 2007 and I've tried to do the same this year.

1. What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before?
spent Christmas Day in a public place (the Aquarium!)

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't make New Year's resolutions

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
I know a few people who had babies, some I know better than others!

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Poppa Billy and Gayle and Andrew (by close I'm assuming family)

5. What countries did you visit?
England and Scotland

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
I don't think we lacked much - more time with Alex and J maybe...possibly more sleep

7. What dates from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
March 3, June 25, July 3

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Receiving a Gold Merit Award

9. What was your biggest failure?
Not telling people how important they are to me often enough

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
no

11. What was the best thing you bought?
a tie between blinds and a Phil and Teds stroller

Baby J

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
no one close to me

14. Where did most of your money go?
mortgage

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
J learning to walk and starting to talk

sleep, spent time with Alex and J

mourning

20. How did you spend Christmas?
celebrating for three days (December 24-26) with family and friends and a trip to the Aquarium

nope...I was already in love!

I would like it if the TV went away

no

Hurry Hurry

25. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Yeah, I didn't make any...there just wasn't time

a new stroller

we're not wanting for anything that I can think of

28. What was your favorite film of this year?
I think I only saw four - so it's a tie between Harry Potter and Up. The other two were the Hangover and Zombieland

29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Cried. A lot. 32

30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
nothing - 2009 was pretty good except that we had to say goodbye to three family members

Love your family. Tell them you love them. Think about what you're going to do before you do it. Take risks, but make them smart ones.
