Farewell Lee's

On Tuesday night there were lots and lots of sirens on the streets outside our house. Talking to people from work there were also lots of sirens near their homes that night...well, Alex came home from work last night to say that the building that was home to Lee's Candies burned to the ground.

I go past it every day and didn't notice yesterday, but today it's definitely gone and the safety fence is covered in messages from well wishers.

Hopefully this isn't the end of a Vancouver institution...
