Boooo Boston...Go Canucks Go

Our apartment looks out over a main street. When the Canucks won tonight a few things happened.

1. We could hear a dull roar from the fans on the street across False Creek

2. Horns started honking and people started yelling.

3. J got very excited and decided this was the time to tell the world who her NHL hockey team is.

She stood at her window and yelled anytime horns honked or jersey clad people went past.

Somewhere along the line, she learned thumbs up and thumbs down and (mostly) used them correctly.

Tonight was unreal...I can't imagine what it will be like if the Vancouver Canucks win the Stanley Cup!

  1. If they win the Cup? IF?

    Oh ye of little faith!

Even if Boston take the next game, there's no way they're going to take game seven in Vancouver if the crowd is anything like it was tonight! They were totally the sixth man on the ice.

Of course, I have been known to be wrong--it was March of 1992--so I might not be right about this.

  2. Oh no, I know the Canucks are going to win, I just thought I'd jinx them if I announced it to the Information Highway...

Well, there we go...I did it. So on the off chance that they don't, you can blame me for the jinx...

So what was it that you were wrong about in 1992???

  3. Awww, Shannon, she's so precious! I know nothing about hockey but I know J is a darling little lady xx

  4. Thanks Sarah! One day we'll get over to Ireland so that she can meet you...or maybe you'll make it back to Canada...

I'm going to get Alex to go buy a lottery ticket...maybe that will speed someday up!

  5. Um, just a thought. I'm heading back to Ireland to hang out with the famdamily in Sept/Oct for three weeks. J could fit in my bag (I'm sure security wouldn't notice her squirming around in there), I could drop her off with Sarah and then pick her up again in three weeks.

You know, if that works for you two.

  6. Oh yes please! We'd love to have J stay with us... as long as mum and dad came too.

  7. Hmm...I'm not sure we'll all fit in Andrea's bags...Too bad though....on day Sarah, one day!
