20. Take Alex to the pool

I completed the first thing on my list (well, it's number 20, but it's the first of 101 things I've completed).

J and I took Alex to the pool.

It was a bit of a disaster, but luckily Alex has agreed to try again.

We were going to go to the new pool, but with the way the day was going, we decided the Aquatic Centre was the way to go - it's not unknown territory.

We got there just after nap time, so J would be energized. We figured we'd get home, eat and she'd crash.

We went out and got in the nice warm pool. J was soooooo excited to be there. She wanted to show Daddy what she could do and she immediately went down the slide. She was getting out to go down the slide again when the life guard cleared the pool.

Someone had an accident so they had to super chlorinate the pool, so it was closed for at least two hours.

UGH.

J was soooooooooo upset. She whimpered until we were almost home about wanting to go back to the swimming pool and play with the kids and go on the slide.

We came home and all had to disinfect ourselves...but maybe we'll try again next weekend.

Oh, and the pool was more than happy to refund our admission.
