- I have a postcard collection that I started when I was seven
- I used to get carsick thinking about long car trips and on every single family trip we took; now I only get carsick sometimes
- Of all my butterflies, all but one were gifts
- I am an obsessive knitter

- I was totally stunned and completely amazed when I got my Silver Merit award

- My "book" from Pax Lodge can make me homesick for somewhere that wasn't home and make me happy at the same time

- Some days I hate taking a shower because I hate being wet. Most days I love taking a shower and have to force myself to get out of the shower so I'm not late for work
- I am on a crazy naturopath diet (I cheat sometimes) but as hard as it can be, it's working (except when I cheat more than one day in a row)
- My current bed is the most comfortable bed I've ever owned
- I refuse to buy cheap (as in poorly made/poor quality, not necessarily low priced) shoes, linens, toilet paper/facial tissue or cheese
- Telemarketers who won't leave me alone drive me nuts
- Sometimes I give people too many chances
- Vinyl Cafe + coffee + The Globe and Mail = great Sunday morning
- I'm a Cancer - I'm a homebody and I really don't like clubbing or parties where I don't know anyone
- I turn red when people look at me and I have to talk to lots of people or people I don't know and when I laugh and when I get angry or upset and when I get flustered and pretty much I'm red MOST of the time
- Fifers says I have an incredible memory and probably remember more of her childhood than she does...sometimes I agree with her, but lately, it's beginning to fail
- Even though I can remember most things from our childhoods, I can't remember meeting Fifers, all I know is that I have this memory of talking to her on the playground one day, and it's my first memory of her and I know that I'd known her for a while by then
- I did grade one 1.5 times
- I met Alex a year ago
- I still need my parents
- I talk to my parents at least every Sunday unless I'm out of the country or they're out of the country
- My favourite cities so far have been Copenhagen and Geneva (London's not so bad either)
- I really really really want to go to Italy, to the East coast where my dad's family came from
- I hate Paris, but I always dream about going there
- When I get there, I always remember that I hate it

- I love the stretch of Charing Cross Road from the Paperchase at Tottenham Court Road to Leicester Square
- The smell of Pax Lodge makes me happy!
- I was happier than I'd been for a long time when I first went to Pax Lodge
- I finished my degree so that I had a finished degree, not because I knew (or some days even liked) what I was doing at university
- I learned more from life outside the classroom than from the classes I paid for
- I lived in Hawaii for two years
- Boarding school is both nothing like the books say and everything like the books say
- I thought maybe I was going to boot camp, the rule book had so many rules in it, but somehow all those rules gave me a ton of freedom
- Boardgames are a great way to spend an afternoon or an evening

- I don't know what I want to do when I grow up
- My family is the most important thing in my life, followed closely by my friends
- Alex's family has already become part of *my* family
- I feel extremely lucky to have the friends I have
- Sometimes I think that I have more than my share of friends and feel bad because maybe I'm a friend hog
- Alex is one of the most important people in my life
- I miss the house at Christina Lake
- I miss my dog Rex
- I miss my grandpa
- I'm glad my friends are here - I needed them to help me out and take care of me this week
- I liked Australia but I would never go back except that three good friends live there
- I want to go to Ireland for an extended period of time even though they think it's strange that I'm named after a river
- I want to do a road trip across Canada
- I want to move back to Kelowna one day
- It hurts to see how much Alex's mom is suffering
- I can't believe how supportive people can be when they don't even know someone
- After my family, Guiding is my safety net and my support
- My sisters are amazing people and I think I'm lucky to have them
- I take too many pictures with my digital camera
- I'm addicted to books
- I would love to live overseas again, but only if I can take my whole family with me

- When I run into Sammy, the woman I assisted in a former life, I always leave feeling grumpy and slightly sick to my stomach
- I enjoy my current boss - mostly because he is very flexible and accommodating and treats me like a real person
- Today I feel totally at ease, really happy and I think I'm content!
it started as random ramblings (that I'm still blaming on Heddy) about life, guiding, Pax Lodge, knitting, postcards and whatever else spewed forth from my keyboard...it hasn't changed too much, except now J is part of our life. And well, I write a lot about her and not as much (as I used to) about those other things

One of my favorite books is also Little women (Mujercitas) I read it 16 times, can you belive it!!!! 16 times...and I would read it again.
