I didn't stop my subscriptions to any of the food blogs while I was on the GAPS diet and somehow, somewhere I stumbled across a chocolate chip cookie recipe on Eat Me Delicious. Now, we made chocolate chip cookies as kids, but the family favourite recipe was an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe from the Harrowsmith cookbook. I don't think we made plain, old chocolate chip cookies very often. But we should have!
These cookies have an entire two cups of chocolate chips in them. OH MY GOODNESS! They are full of butter and brown sugar and white flour tastiness.
Oh so good! I only had a small taste because I was still grain and sugar free, but oh, it was a good taste. Gooey and yummy straight from the oven. I wondered if there were maybe too many chocolate chips and thought some pecan might balance that out, but people (Rebecca & Alex) who actually ate full cookies said that the amount of chocolate was perfect.
Little miss had a still warm from the oven cookie and had a great time sticking her fingers in the chocolate and then licking them. YUMMY!
She doesn't have a lot to compare it to, but I think J thinks that these cookies are pretty darn good.
I'm recommending this recipe to anyone and everyone who will listen to me.
YUM!
Wow, 2 cups of chocolate chips means chocolate in every little bite. I have a sweet treat linky party going on at my blog and I'd like to invite you to stop by and link your cookies up. http://sweet-as-sugar-cookies.blogspot.com/2011/03/sweets-for-saturday-8.html
